Okinawa Japan

My husband and i are currently waiting on his PCS orders to be approved from HRC.

Once that happens we will know if and when we will be moving to Japan.

It is definitely allot to take in with our wedding con validation ceremony right around the corner in September, and the idea of moving to a completely different country with the Army soon after.

I am in the Army Reserve and i must say it is a completely different animal when compared to the Army. So at the moment i am just going to "hurry up and wait".

I have been learning allot about Japan (to satisfy the control freak in me) in order to have a better understanding of what we will be stepping into and at the same time i am trying to figure out how we will fit in to this whole new environment even though i am sure it wont happen completely until as they say in the Reserves "we get boots on ground". It is however nice to know that the United States Army Reserve is also in Japan! So i will be able to continue my career as a citizen soldier, and to a certain degree there will be some continuity in my life.

For now i am looking forward to my Memorial Day weekend with my hubby in Tallahassee!!! We are going to spend it with family and friends!! If the weather holds up we will be going tubing down the chipola river :) "i am keeping my finger's crossed"

The Ties That Bind Us

I am currently getting ready for mine and my husbands convalidation in the Catholic church.
We are both very excited we are going to be able to celebrate our marriage with our friends and family. It has been exciting and stressful to plan a destination wedding from Fort Benning GA.
From picking out the church and the reception hall to choosing my wedding dress. Now i am in the process of losing the weight i have mysteriously gained since graduating college in December LOL!
Ok so maybe it wasn't so mysterious but you have to believe i am working out, because i don't want to look like the burrito bride walking down the isle.
I know i must sound superficial and to be perfectly clear this is not the only reason why this wedding is so important to me.
God is the main reason we are together and it will also be an opportunity to unite different families and celebrate our
new family ties together.

i am very much looking forward to the next coming weeks :)
